What Paperwork Will My Attorney Need

Just out of curiosity, what kind of paperwork will my attorney need to
see? Will he need copies of bank statements and credit card statements?
If so, how far back will I need to go? Do they require statements from
pension plans, IRA's, insurance policies, tax returns? I imagine each
state is different but I was just trying to get an idea. I have not yet
made an appointment with an attorney (will do that tomorrow) but I wanted
to get a jump on things. I assume I will need to fill out some kind of
financial statements listing all my assets so I was wondering if I needed
to list EVERYTHING in my house or only major appliances and electronics.
Any tips would be appreciated.
