Filing Seperately

Has anyone in the group filed for Chapter 7 without their spouse and
what are the repercussions for the spouse? Will his credit be
affected. This is a community property state but his only source of
income is his social security and it is my understanding that they
cannot touch that. Even though he will be liable for my debt will
the credit card companies be able to hound him after I file?
