Our debt surprised us. It was about $110,000, but that includes ($35,000 student loans, and 10,000 car).

I would say that overall it was poor spending (even when my husband was not working), and poor choices. When I first went to college in the 1980's I fell into the trap of taking all of these "student" credit card offers.

Over the past year or so we have had to change our habits. Between that, and the bankruptcy, thing are looking good for the future.

He was laid off in August, but he has a very good possibility for a job. I praying!
