When I first told my father that we were going to file bankruptcy he said we just happen to be is perhaps the best state to do it. He is a writer, and did some research on bankruptcy some time back. People actually move to Florida to file!
I know they have a law in Florida saying that you cannot lose your house. We did not have a house, so I am not to familiar with that.

We did not lose anything. We do have a car, but the payments have always been up to date. We feared losing our 2 computers, but did not.

We went in to the lawyer to file Chapter 7 on August 8, 2003 and the case was closed on November 21, 2003. A painless process!
