Re: Checking Account Garnishment

My husband and I filed Chapter 13 yesterday in TX. I have a checking
account that has a little money in it but have stopped direct deposit.
Because we have our van loan with the same bank (we are keeping the van),
how soon before the bank may try to garnish or take our money from this
account? I will be closing it out no later than tomorrow. I just have a
small child support deposit that I forgot about stopping. As soon as that
is in the account I will be able to close it out.

BTW I've been lurking and reading through posts for a while now and thanks
for all the advice. This board has helped me tremendously!
