A 341 is the meeting you have with the trustee and the creditors (althoug
h Sears is the only creditor that usually shows up). You meet with the t
rustee, they make sure everything is okay with the bankruptcy, that you'v
e met all the requirements, understand all the details and then they usua
lly grant a discharge in about 60 days. January is when my husband was l
aid off and this whole mess started. He found a job in July but it pays
less than half his previous salary. We waited to file until November 3rd
because we were hoping to work out some sort of deal with our mortgage c
ompany to save our house but they refused to work with us (Citimortgage S
UCKS!) (Sorry, a little immature of me but that felt good!) So we filed
on 11/3, the 341 is tomorrow and all our debt should be discharged aroun
d February 12th.
