I forget what point the creditors are supposed to stop, but I know it is officially after you start the process.

I just got my discharge papers a few days ago, so I have not experienced much yet. We did open a bank account at Washington Mutual (we are in NY, but filed when living in Florida August 2003).
I will keep you posted.
