Question about fraud

I have a lot of debt. Wasn't a problem a year ago when I was making
great money. I have top notch credit (is that a good thing? haha)
I have gone thru a long stretch of unemployment and a divorce.
I'm court ordered to pay off a debt that was "ours" - long
story..but it's law now. I have a new job but it's not nearly what I
was making. I am not late on anything but it's going to take a LARGE
portion of my new paycheck. I can't stay afloat for long.

I know I can't create new debt 60 days prior to filing.

I want to know if anyone has experienced or knows anything about this.
I've not consulted an attornet as yet. Just researching on the
internet and I've had a couple of friends that did a 13.
I'm considering ch. 7.

I can tranfer the the amount I owe onto my credit cards..all of it.
no problem. How soon afterward can I file without getting into
trouble..if there is trouble to be had?

I'd rather do this than attempt to stick her with it and take the
chance she could come back and dispute and it get ugly. I make more
than her..but the balancing act of who would be hurt more than the
other will be close. So much so that I don't want to fight. Just
isn't worth it to me. I also don't want to include her in that event
of my life. I'd rather just keep it simple and do it all alone. I
know the proceedings are public domain anyhow..but I think you all
know what I'm talking about.

Simply, how soon afterward that I do a balance transfer can I file?
Is there some sort of law about "intent to repay"?
Must I make payments on the new debt for a while?
I'd say it would really tick-off a creditor to have a bunch of debt
loaded up then for me to bail on it immediately.

Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks in advance.
