Tod,
Yes, it's all public information and it will be published in the paper but honestly, I've looked through the Dallas Morning News and have yet to find any bankruptcies. Then again, I don't read the paper from front to back either. Luckily we live in a large enough area that I doubt anyone will find out unless they're trying to. I doubt it would be in our "local" newspapers such as the Enterprise and Courier-Gazette. As long as you don't tell anyone, you'll probably be safe. Unless your house is up for foreclosure and you know anyone in real estate. My friend went through some extremely hard times and was almost foreclosed upon. Her DAD is a real estate agent and was going to the county courthouse to bid on foreclosed homes, having no idea that her house was one up for auction. Luckily she was able to deal with her mortgage company and stop the foreclosure at the very last minute so she saved her house and her dad never found out. But again, that's not a worry if you'!
re able
to keep your house. Try not to worry! I know, easier said than done but you're almost in the home stretch now!
