Re: Hi I am new and need supportDate: Tuesday, August 26, 2003
Time: 9:05:02 am Thanks so much for your reply and Carin's too. I really don't care
if I lose the printer or digital camera but was told by my cousin's
they didn't lose a thing and have read other places in Texas very
rarely they take anything. I have a lawyer appt Thursday.
My ex was a secondary card holder. Yeah he really screwed me over
and said to me that he will ruin my precious credit as punishment for
leaving him. He is holding back on child support as punishment and
not seeing our son so I don't have any freedom to go out on dates etc.
Anyway, since I am not getting child support I can't really report
that as income can I? I don't want to if I am not getting it.
Thanks!

group though since it's under such horrible circumstances. Anyway,
you sound like prime candidate for bankruptcy. They only thing I
think you may lose is the stuff you just charged on Gateway several
months ago. Ask an attorney about that. Your car will be safe. Is
your ex also on the credit cards? If so, when you file they may go
after him but that's not your problem. Especially since he ran up
his share of debt. Most attorneys offer free consultations...just
ask around and see if anyone can recommend one or look in the phone
book. Have a consultation and go with the one that takes the time to
answer your questions. Use your instincts and pick the one you feel
most comfortable with. I'm in Texas too. Our attorney is charging
us $1700 for a chapter seven. We pay her $100 a month and her policy
is to file when she's received $685. Most attorneys will accept
payments. Sorry I can't offer any more advice as

can. Hope that helps!
